The Gothic Design apartments are located in a building with 6 apartments which has a lift and has been recently renovated. They are loft apartments which have a double bedroom, bathroom with shower, dining room with double sofa bed, kitchenette and balcony.
Contemporary and chic, the Gothic Design apartments are located in the heart of the medieval city of Barcelona, in the quarter known as Borne, one of the city’s most fashionable areas. Next to the Antique Harbour, they are just five minutes from the beach.
The apartments are fully equipped down to the last detail. The kitchen has all the accessories: dishware, cutlery, cooking utensils, coffee maker, juicer, refrigerator, vitroceramic cooking plates, oven, microwave oven, toaster. Reverse cycle air conditioning is available, as well as television with international channels, Internet connection (broadband), a safe, alarm connected to the police station, video security cameras in the entrance, elevator directly to the apartments, clothes washer and dryer, hair dryer, iron, towels, sheets, blankets, eiderdowns and duvets.
A wide selection of bars and restaurants with trendy furnishings can be found just a few steps from the apartment. In spite of this touch of modernity, the historic Gothic Quarter of Barcelona still retains the old bohemian personality that characterized it before it became one of the most popular areas of the city, frequented by local inhabitants and tourists. The apartments are very close to one of Barcelona’s most renowned Gothic buildings, the church of Santa María del Mar.
Gothic is one of the quarters of the Ciutat Vella (Catalan for "Old city") is, as its name suggests, the oldest part of Barcelona. It includes buildings and attractions from all the city history and has the most important monuments (except the most famous modernist ones).
Among the many places to visit, stand out Las Ramblas, Plaza Reial, Plaza St Jaume, the Church Sta Maria del Mar, Palau de la Musica...
La Rambla is an iconic and busy street in central Barcelona , popular with both tourists and locals alike. A 1.2 kilometer-long tree-lined pedestrian mall in the Barri Gòtic, it connects Plaça Catalunya in the center with the Christopher Columbus monument at Port Vell . Usually full of street theatre, cafés and market stalls, it serves as the emotional hub of Barcelona.

Payment:
A deposit of 15% is required to finalize your reservation for this apartment, to be completed within 3 days . Upon receiving it we will issue an updated confirmation of your booking and the remaining balance will be paid on arrival.
The cleaning fee of 40 euros is also required on arrival.
The payment of remaining balance can be done on arrival in cash. On arrival there is a security deposit for potential damages, of 200 euros, refundable at the end of your stay.
Cancellation Policy:
We cannot be held responsible for bad weather, illness, changes in travel plans or travel delays. In the case that confirmed booking had been made and we are notified of cancellation with short notice before the scheduled arrival, we unfortunately have to demand partial compensation.
There are no charges for cancellation if you notify us more than 90 days before arrival, and the deposit paid at the time of the booking will be returned to you. If we are notified of cancellation less than 90 days before arrival, the cancellation charges are as follows:
20% of the deposit paid if the cancellation is done 89 - 60 days before the scheduled arrival. The rest of the deposit is returned to you.
50% of the deposit paid if the cancellation is done 59 - 30 days before the scheduled arrival. The rest of the deposit is returned to you.
100% of the deposit paid if the cancellation is done 30 days or less before the scheduled arrival.
Please note that in the event of sickness or change of flights on last minute the cancellation cost may be covered by your travel insurance (you should check the conditions of your travel insurance for more details).
In absolute necessity, we reserve the right to change the apartment for an equivalent or better unit. In practice we rarely had this situation, like for instance if the plumbing or electric installations have a problem that cannot be fixed right away; in this case our obligation is to provide you with alternative arrangements.
Check-in and Check-out:
The standard check-in time is at 14:00 and standard check-out before 12:00.
We may be able to arrange early check in, depending on the actual situation of each reservation. We should be able to confirm the possibility of early check in on request, 2 days before scheduled arrival. For early or late check-ins and check outs, there is an extra fee as follows:
Check in between 20:00 and 24:00 - 20 €
Check in between 24:00 and 7:00 - 50 €
Check in between 7:00 and 8:00 - 20 €
Check out before 8:00 - 30 €
Check-out after 12:00 can only be arranged if one extra night is paid.
One of our colleagues will meet you at the apartment to greet you and give you your keys. Please take note of the contact number above.
Please make sure you don’t forget anything inside the apartment on your check out. We will do our best to help out in case you tell us you have forgotten items at the apartment, however we cannot be held responsible for their loss.

If you are driving to Barcelona, please remember that if you wish to rent a car from another country, you must tell the rental company that you wish to take the car out of the country and where you want to take it to. The rental company will have to provide you with all the paperwork, including the authority to take your rental car out of the country. It is vital that you have that letter of authority and also confirmation of insurance cover. If you have a car from a country that is not part of the European Union, you will also need its green card.
Visa and other requirements for traveling to Spain:
If you are from a country that does not need Schengen visa for Spain (except for the other countries of the European Union), please note that your passport must be valid for a period of at least 90 days beyond the expected length of stay in Spain. Depending on the country you are from, this period might be longer, up to 6 months beyond the expected length of stay.
If you are traveling on an American, Canadian, or Australian passport or one issued by a member country of the European Union, or a country with a visa waiver agreement with Spain, no visa is required.
Please note that if you do not need visa for Spain, your passport must be valid for a period of at least 90 days beyond the expected length of stay.
Visas are currently required for visitors traveling on Russian and African passports and from most Asian countries.
