Close to the Montjuic Park and to Plaza España with its Magic Fountain and FIRA (Fair Hall) of Barcelona, the Apartment Tapioles 1 is a good option for your holiday or for your business trip to Barcelona.
At a few minutes to the Spain Square, in the Barcelona quarter known as Poble Sec, the Tapioles Apartment 1 is located on the first floor on the aristocratic XX century building with lift. This apartment is renovated, decorated and equipped to the last detail, to offer you a comfortable stay in the beautiful city of Barcelona.
With its 70 sq.m., the Tapioles Apartment 1 can accommodate 6 persons in two double bedrooms with wardrobes: one of bedrooms is a suite with a double bed and the other has two single beds which can be pushed together. There are also a living room with a double sofa bed, two bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen and two balconies, which add comfort to the accommodation.
The parquet floors, its quality furniture, the air-conditioned or the heating, the internet connection, the big TV plasma or its balconies with pleasant decoration offer the ideal comfort for your holiday in Barcelona. In addition, the Tapioles Apartment is equipped with washing machine with dryer, iron and ironing board, hair dryer. The kitchen, modern and fully equipped, contains cooking utensils, toaster, coffee maker, sandwich maker, mixer, dishwasher and fridge.

For families or travelers who visit Barcelona on vacation or business, and want to stay close to each other, this apartment is located in the same building as the 2 bedrooms Tapioles apartment 2.
The Tapioles Apartment 1 has a good connection with other points of interest in Barcelona. At only 300 meters, on Parallel Street, there are two metro stations: Parallel and Poble Sec (green line - L3). There are also many bus lines that connect very well these apartments with the rest of the city, including with the beaches of Barceloneta and the airport. With its proximity to Spain Square, at only 4-5 minutes walking the Tapioles Apartments became an appreciated accommodation for business trips as well as leisure.
The Eixample is the quarter designed during the middle of the 19th century by Ildefons Cerdà, expanding the medieval city of Barcelona into space left empty for defense outside the citywalls. It's an enormous field of rectangular blocks in an continuously repeating layout, with the constant thread of getting lost (at least for those used to european cities. Eixample contains most of the modernist buildings, including La Pedrera , Casa Batlló and La Sagrada Família . A very interesting example for planned urban development and subsequent re-planing and restucturing.

Everything was good, just some small things we wished to be better: kettle could be better, was not enough tableware, we needed big tea cups. And some more things for cooking, more equipped kitchen we needed. But generally we can recommend this apartment, it´s good :)

NOTE: While you are staying at one of our apartments, if you need anything like cups, extra pillows and so on, just give us a call and let us know. We´ll provide everything for you asap, if possible.
Payment:
A deposit of 20% is required to finalize your reservation for this apartment, to be completed within 3 days . Upon receiving it we will issue an updated confirmation of your booking and the remaining balance will be paid on arrival.
The cleaning fee of 50 euros is also required on arrival.
The payment of remaining balance can be done on arrival in cash. On arrival there is a security deposit for potential damages, of 200 euros, refundable at the end of your stay.
Cancellation Policy:
We cannot be held responsible for bad weather, illness, changes in travel plans or travel delays. In the case that confirmed booking had been made and we are notified of cancellation with short notice before the scheduled arrival, we unfortunately have to demand partial compensation.
There are no charges for cancellation if you notify us more than 30 days before arrival, and the deposit paid at the time of the booking will be returned to you. If we are notified of cancellation less than 30 days before arrival, the cancellation charges are as follows:
100% of the deposit paid if the cancellation is done 30 days or less before the scheduled arrival.
Please note that in the event of sickness or change of flights on last minute the cancellation cost may be covered by your travel insurance (you should check the conditions of your travel insurance for more details).
In absolute necessity, we reserve the right to change the apartment for an equivalent or better unit. In practice we rarely had this situation, like for instance if the plumbing or electric installations have a problem that cannot be fixed right away; in this case our obligation is to provide you with alternative arrangements.
Check-in and Check-out:
The standard check-in time is at 15:00 and standard check-out before 11:00.
We may be able to arrange early check in, depending on the actual situation of each reservation. We should be able to confirm the possibility of early check in on request, 2 days before scheduled arrival. For early or late check-ins and check outs, there is an extra fee as follows:
Check in between 20:00 and 24:00 - 20 euros
Check in between 24:00 and 7:00 - 50 euros
Check in between 7:00 and 8:00 - 20 euros
Check out before 8:00 - 30 euros
One of our colleagues will meet you at the apartment to greet you and give you your keys. Please take note of the contact number above.
Please make sure you don’t forget anything inside the apartment on your check out. We will do our best to help out in case you tell us you have forgotten items at the apartment, however we cannot be held responsible for their loss.

If you are driving to Barcelona, please remember that if you wish to rent a car from another country, you must tell the rental company that you wish to take the car out of the country and where you want to take it to. The rental company will have to provide you with all the paperwork, including the authority to take your rental car out of the country. It is vital that you have that letter of authority and also confirmation of insurance cover. If you have a car from a country that is not part of the European Union, you will also need its green card.
Visa and other requirements for traveling to Spain:
If you are from a country that does not need Schengen visa for Spain (except for the other countries of the European Union), please note that your passport must be valid for a period of at least 90 days beyond the expected length of stay in Spain. Depending on the country you are from, this period might be longer, up to 6 months beyond the expected length of stay.
If you are traveling on an American, Canadian, or Australian passport or one issued by a member country of the European Union, or a country with a visa waiver agreement with Spain, no visa is required.
Please note that if you do not need visa for Spain, your passport must be valid for a period of at least 90 days beyond the expected length of stay.
Visas are currently required for visitors traveling on Russian and African passports and from most Asian countries.
